How It Works in Practice

Every tier includes a free consultation, a secure document portal for uploading your tax documents, IRS-authorized e-filing, and year-round support if the IRS has questions about your return. Your Enrolled Agent reviews your situation, prepares the return, and signs it under their PTIN.

Use a free introductory tax consultation to describe your filing needs and ask which forms, services and fees would apply before choosing a plan.

Example: US Expat in Germany Earning $95,000

Premium tier ($799) covers the 1040, Form 2555 (Foreign Earned Income Exclusion), Form 1116 (Foreign Tax Credit), and FinCEN 114 (FBAR) for two German bank accounts. Living in Germany and earning $95,000 does not by itself establish eligibility for the Foreign Earned Income Exclusion. Eligibility requires foreign earned income, a foreign tax home, and a qualifying residence or physical-presence test. Confirm eligibility and the applicable exclusion before estimating tax.

If the same filer also held a German mutual fund classified as a PFIC, the return moves to the Complex tier ($1,099+) to cover Form 8621 reporting.

Pricing FAQs

What if my situation doesn't fit neatly into one tier?

No worries! Book a free consultation and we'll recommend the best plan for your unique situation. We also offer custom pricing for complex scenarios.

Are there additional fees I should know about?

Our pricing is transparent. The listed price covers everything described in each tier. If your situation requires additional forms or services beyond the tier, we'll let you know upfront before proceeding.

Do you offer payment plans?

Yes, we offer flexible payment options. You can pay in full or split your payment into installments. Contact us for details.

What should I confirm about support if the IRS contacts me?

Before engaging us, ask for written confirmation of any IRS notice or audit support, including representation, exclusions, time limits and additional fees. Do not assume unlimited, no-cost representation is included in a preparation fee.

Can I upgrade my plan after starting?

Absolutely. If we discover your situation requires a higher tier during preparation, we'll discuss the upgrade with you and adjust the pricing accordingly.

Do you handle state tax returns as well?

State returns are included for your home state. Additional state returns (if needed) may incur a small additional fee, which we'll discuss upfront.
