Our Standard Expat Filing package includes everything needed for a typical US expat with straightforward filing requirements. Here is a detailed breakdown of what is included.

Tax Return Preparation: Complete Form 1040 with all applicable standard schedules, Form 2555 for Foreign Earned Income Exclusion or Form 1116 for Foreign Tax Credit (we analyze both and recommend the optimal strategy), Schedule B for interest and dividend income reporting, and any other standard schedules required (Schedule 1, 2, 3, etc.).

FBAR Filing: FinCEN Form 114 preparation and e-filing through the BSA E-Filing System for all reportable foreign accounts.

Consultation and Planning: Free initial consultation to assess your situation and provide a quote, strategy analysis comparing FEIE vs. FTC to minimize your tax burden, and year-end tax planning recommendations.

Review and Filing: Multi-level quality review of your completed return, detailed summary memo explaining all positions and your tax result, secure delivery through your client portal for review, electronic filing (e-filing) with the IRS upon your approval, and filing confirmation and copies of all documents.

Ongoing Support: Secure messaging with your assigned tax professional throughout the year, assistance with IRS correspondence related to the return we prepared, and access to your documents through the client portal.

The Standard package is designed for expats who: live and work in a single foreign country, have primarily employment income, need to claim FEIE or FTC but not both, have foreign accounts requiring FBAR, and do not have complex investment portfolios, business income, or real estate abroad.

If your situation requires additional forms such as Form 8938, Form 8833, state returns, or international information returns beyond FBAR, these are available as add-ons or included in our higher-tier packages.
